The WordPress community recently lost a passionate contributor, organizer, and community builder, Zeel Thakkar. Her dedication to learning, contribution, and uplifting others left a lasting impact on WordPress communities across India and beyond.
To honor Zeel’s legacy and the values she stood for, WordCamp Kolhapur 2026 is offering 20 complimentary event tickets to girls and women who are unable to attend due to financial constraints. This initiative is made possible through the generous support of a few anonymous members of the WordPress community.
Zeel deeply believed in creating access and opportunities, especially for women who wanted to learn, contribute, and grow within the WordPress ecosystem. This scholarship reflects that spirit by opening doors for more voices to be present, learn, and connect with the community.
Through this initiative, we hope to carry forward Zeel’s commitment to inclusion, contribution, and community growth.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the Zeel Thakkar Community Scholarship should meet the following criteria:
- Open to women and girls interested in WordPress
- Facing financial constraints that may prevent attending WordCamp Kolhapur 2026
- WordPress contributors, community members, learners, or those looking to get started with WordPress
- Preference may be given to applicants who have not attended a WordCamp before
- Willing to attend the full event and engage respectfully with the community
A total of 20 scholarship recipients will be selected and awarded complimentary event tickets.
Final selection will be made by the WordCamp Kolhapur 2026 organizing team.
Application Process
- Interested applicants will be required to fill out a short application form
- The form will include basic details, interest in WordPress, and a brief explanation of financial need
- All applications will be reviewed confidentially by the WordCamp Kolhapur 2026 organizing team
- Selected applicants will be notified via email
- Complimentary tickets will be issued directly to the selected recipients
